Flutter or native? Choosing the right tech for your app

Most of the apps we ship use Flutter — but not all. Here's how we decide, in plain language.

The framework you choose affects your budget, your timeline and how easily you can grow the product later. There's no universal winner, but there is usually a clear right answer for your case.

Why we usually recommend Flutter

  • One codebase for Android and iOS — faster delivery and lower cost
  • Pixel-perfect, consistent UI on both platforms
  • Excellent performance for commerce, booking, delivery and content apps
  • Strong support for Arabic and right-to-left layouts

When native (Swift / Kotlin) wins

  • Heavy use of device hardware: advanced camera, Bluetooth, AR
  • Background processing that must be extremely battery-efficient
  • Products where one platform matters far more than the other

What about the back end?

Your app is only half the product. We typically pair mobile apps with a Laravel or Node.js back end and an admin dashboard, hosted on cloud infrastructure that scales with your users.

Our rule of thumb

If your app is about customers browsing, ordering, booking or paying, Flutter is almost always the smart choice. If it's about pushing the device to its limits, go native. We'll tell you which one — and why — before you sign anything.
